Coaching Workshop Series
PWA announced the launch of our series of coaching workshops at our February speaker event and the response so far has been overwhelming. The concept grew out of Cristina Gianotti’s speaker meeting topic, "Coaching: an important tool for progress in all aspects of life". Since PWA has a number of members who are professional coaches, we decided to offer additional sessions on more specific topics to groups limited to 12 women at a nominal fee. How Star Women Build Portable Skills
Four years ago Boris Groysberg of Harvard Business School analysed the performance of over 1,000 star stock analysts. His research showed that star performers often falter when they move to new companies. However, aggregate numbers hid the real truth – unlike their male counterparts, women stars performed just as well. The portability of their performance is attributed to strategic choices made in response to situations faced at work. These constitute a powerful skill set which can be applied in all knowledge-based industries.
