Join us for a special evening that will open with the presentation of EuropeanPWN’s latest book offering up-to-date information and statistics on female and international board members in Europe, and discusses the key issues concerning board diversity and how it adds value to corporations. Author Annalisa Gigante demonstrates that “change is possible and makes business sense but without concrete steps and proactive decision-making, the current rate of growth of female board members indicates that it will take until 2065 to reach parity. Companies and individual women should both develop business strategies to capture and fully utilise the talents of professional women for the betterment of their organisations”.

The cost of maternity
When one thinks of the cost, two things come into mind. Firstly the economic cost for the company should the female worker become pregnant and secondly the cost i.e. the career risks not only if she should become pregnant but also for the fact that if she is of a certain age, the likelihood that she may even have children puts her career at risk. To cut it short, maternity is the most limiting factor for the career of women.
